India goes from strenght to strength, with her writing. This book is her best yet, I loved the story, and Olivier was to die for, yummy.
Bella reminded me so much about myself, it was really strange, ie ‘think nice thoughts, sandy beaches’ – The story was excellent, everything jelled together perfectly, which is what I most look for in a book.
You won’t regret buying this book, it was absolutely lovely.
One of my favourite lines in the book – Page 59: ‘The fog inside had burned away, she had forgotten to be afraid’ – WOW!!

Again, author India Grey has charmed me with Taken for Revenge, Bedded for Pleasure. It’s a very intense love story, full of passion, secrets, pain and intrigue. On top of that, both Olivier Moreau and Bella Lawrence carry a lot of baggage from their past.

Set in London and the French countryside I felt drawn to the hustle and bustle of the City but India’s description of the French countryside, and the Moreau farm house made me want to plan a trip to France. This couple’s journey begins in an unconventional way and almost ends in an explosive and violent manner.

They both are fighting demons from their past….Bella has issues with her family plus suffered at the hands of a man who used her and then publically shamed her. Oliver has definite issues from his childhood and has not seen his father in years. Now returns to France and is shocked at seeing Bella again. He has to decide what type of revenge he is going to take against the Lawrence family for their past transgressions against his father and fights his attraction for Bella every step of the way.

Olivier and Bella’s story is a interesting one, full of obstacles, lust, mistrust that will have you cheering them on to find the happiness they so deserve. It’s a beautifully crafted story as only India Grey can pen.

Behind the book: As a reader I’ve always been fascinated by the Dedication Page and this one is no exception: “This one’s for Daisy, who makes the hard times easier and the good times better. With love and thanks”. Isn’t that lovely?

The best thing about this book for me was the descriptions of the characters’ emotional states and the physical manifestations of these states (from intense sexual desire to pain and heartbreak). The story line itself seems more like a frame work for the intense love and romance to unfold in, and it sort of faded away into the back of my mind while reading about the lovers’ interactions with each other.

An enjoyable read for people seeking a story about intense romance, love and learning.

Not only that he is a scrounging rat that has been living off of Annabel for years trying to reach fame through his writing career. Poor Annabel is heartbroken and bravely pushes Jeremy aside to try and get on with her life; but she can't let herself totally let go. Enter Lilly, Annabel's best friend in the world and fashion designer. Lilly is going to France for a fashion competition and drags Annabel along to try and perk her up from her post-break up blues. Annabel is reluctant at first but soon finds the idea of visiting another country and seeing some of the wonders of the worlds exhilarating. She finds a lot more wonders that she could ever imagine. <br/><br/>I absolutely loved Annabel and Lilly. Their dynamic relationship is invigorating. It's not very often you can find someone that you can be truly yourself around but this friendship is one of them. Lilly helps Annabel realize that she needs to move on and Annabel does the same for Lilly: by making her realize that she needs to let go of her grudge. Lilly is such a funky free spirit and I love her wit. Annabel is more of the shy one that takes some time to come out of her box. The only annoyance I had with this book was that about half way through there was a lot of spelling errors. <br/><br/>Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would happily read more of Astor's work. It has a light fluffy feel to the plot and I like that every once and a while. Lucky Charm by Marie Astor is a charismatic and endearing tale of falling in love.

Annabel has just found out that her fiancé is nothing but a lying and cheating rat. Not only that he is a scrounging rat that has been living off of Annabel for years trying to reach fame through his writing career. Poor Annabel is heartbroken and bravely pushes Jeremy aside to try and get on with her life; but she can’t let herself totally let go. Enter Lilly, Annabel’s best friend in the world and fashion designer. Lilly is going to France for a fashion competition and drags Annabel along to try and perk her up from her post-break up blues. Annabel is reluctant at first but soon finds the idea of visiting another country and seeing some of the wonders of the worlds exhilarating. She finds a lot more wonders that she could ever imagine.

I absolutely loved Annabel and Lilly. Their dynamic relationship is invigorating. It’s not very often you can find someone that you can be truly yourself around but this friendship is one of them. Lilly helps Annabel realize that she needs to move on and Annabel does the same for Lilly: by making her realize that she needs to let go of her grudge. Lilly is such a funky free spirit and I love her wit. Annabel is more of the shy one that takes some time to come out of her box. The only annoyance I had with this book was that about half way through there was a lot of spelling errors.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would happily read more of Astor’s work. It has a light fluffy feel to the plot and I like that every once and a while. Everyone wins in the end and it’s the perfect book to start me on my summer holidays (even though I am a bit late this year).

Again, author Carol Marinelli charms her readers with Innocent Secretary…Accidentally Pregnant and gives a new meaning to new beginnings.

This brilliantly crafted love story gives one so many thoughts to think about, like the true meaning of love and I so admired the heroine in this story. Emma because of her character, her strength and how she endured the hurt from the man she loved. When she should have walked away, she stayed and was there for him during his time of need. Both for his sister’s wedding and his father’s funeral, she was there supporting him and loving him. It showed one that yes love can hurt but real love could also make you strong. And strong she became when she did finally walked away.

Emma Stephenson new exactly what it was like living with a home full of men, how they treated women, using them and then casting them out of their lives. She also knew what it was like not having a mother and living a life feeling not wanted or loved by her father. Now, however, she had the responsibility of taking care of her father who was in a nursing home plus the new responsibility of a new job and a boss that was the most handsome man she had ever seen. He’s demanding, he’s arrogant, he’s rich and he’s off limits because of his reputation for going though women and disregarding them at a moments notice. She’s now faced with an even more pressing problem in her life, her desire to become an artist, the cost of the nursing home and now her sexy boss insists she must play his girlfriend at his sister’s wedding in Sicily. Will she be able to resists his charms? If she falls for him, will she escape being hurt because he makes it very clear he will never love nor marry?

Luca D-Amato is tall, dark, handsome and sexy man who never will commit. The reason is made known early in the book because of the abuse he heard and witnessed his father inflicting on his mother. It’s so deeply imbedded in his mind and heart that he doesn’t want to take a chance he’ll be like his father. However, working with Emma, seeing how bright, cheeky she is, she challenges him and she’s constantly in his thoughts from the moment he meets her. She’s different from the other women he’s dated, she’s a challenge, one he understands immediately he can’t do anything about it because he likes her and doesn’t want to hurt her. However, emotions become their highest for them both while attending the family wedding and they finally make love and then things go down hill.

As we all know, pasts sometimes affect one’s future and one can only hope there’s a chance for this couple. However, as in life, walls, barriers, emotions and harsh words get in their way and their short termed affair abruptly comes to an end. Add to that Emma finds out the truth of her mother’s death and realizes she’s pregnant. Then Luca’s father dies, his family expects her to attend the funeral, which she agrees to because he asked. If that’s not enough emotion, Luca finds out a secret his mother has kept from him.

Innocent Secretary…..Accidentally Pregnant is one I’ll read over and over again because it simply was that good. Besides the sizzling passion, the book brings a new beginning and second chances theme, and the reminder that love heals all! Thank you Carol Marinelli for this moving and magnificent book!
